Crypto rules no one speaks about: Get a mentor, Pay it forward

If I had a couple Satoshi for every time I’ve heard ‘DYOR Do Your Own Research’ and ‘this is not financial advice, it’s just my opinion,’ since I joined the crypto army, I’d be well primed for this impending Bull Run we’re supposedly about to experience. I drink research for a living and as a general rule only take financial advice from billionaires, so while I respected the sentiment of those committed to these utterings and many other quintessential jargonistic cliches, I just wanted to get on with deep diving into all of the other beautiful things Alts, Blockchain, Staking, Yield Farming, DeFi etc etc … One of the best pieces of advice I was given at the start of my journey was from a man who has been invested in the trading world for seven years. ‘Get a mentor,’ is what he said. But where? How? You already know his reply, right? Yep, ‘DYOR’.

So I did and I found one. That person is Brother Colin. Now, whether he found me or I found him only the divine knows, however, our love for crypto sees us bound. His love for crypto saw him start a WhatsApp group 9 weeks ago that has grown from a handful of people into hundreds. From his first FREE zoom meeting where he waxed lyrical about crypto currency including his own foray into the space which involved getting his fingers burnt at the embryonic learning stages, a few things were very clear about Brother Colin, firstly, he was no tech expert (Zoom was causing him all sorts of issues) secondly, he didn’t have to do this. He didn’t have to take his time out and share all of this wealth of knowledge, he was doing it because he is of an abundance mindset. Not that he’s ever said this, his actions speak loudly. Brother Colin doesn’t know I’m writing this and I’m hoping when I drop it into the WhatsApp group it poses as a nice surprise. He paid it forward, I’m doing the same. The beautiful thing about Crypto and the community that nobody talks about, is the way you can pay it forward and go about your business. It really costs you nothing to be nice, to share. That’s what Brother Colin was doing and only an abundance mindset understands the value in this.

Having garnered that from the first meeting, attending every weekly one since has been a must. until I finally revealed I would like to do an interview with him. As I suspected, he had no idea he would impact as many lives as he has already and whether or not I make it big in crypto, his mentorship (whether he was aware of it or not) has been invaluable, I mean, it brought me here, to you guys, able to continue the good works of the crypto community, able to pay it forward. Just so you know (just for the record, the ether, the universe), I’ll make the millions from crypto, not because I met Brother Colin but because I set the intention to do so. The value is obvious. The value in setting my intention to get a mentor wasn’t as clear however, but here I am. So whether you’re new to the game or not, you’re going to hear a lot of FUD and shiling, but one thing I recommend, Get a mentor, pay it forward. Until then …#
