Do you know which of your body organs ir tissue only can use glucose? When our body is in fasting mode aka when our body is on shortage of glucose, our tissue uses another type of fuel called ketone bodies that are produced by breaking down fats. But there are 3 cells or organs that can't use the ketone bodies. They can only use glucose as fuel. They are - 1) Brain 2) Red blood cell 3) Cornea of the eyes.
