Accidents usually happen in just a blink of time. Some misfortunes are even unexplainable but it all happens for a purpose. Every so often, it paves a room for lessons and realizations.

More than a month has passed when I had drowned myself in an ocean of tears due to an unexpected accident that has changed my life forever with a doctor's diagnosis that is a medial cuneiform fracture. I did not go directly to the hospital for really had the fear of any form of medical operation. After the accident was happened, soothing elements such as rest, ice, compress, and elevation were applied being a first aid treatment. At first, I only thought that I only got sprained, as expressed in my article titled, "I Got Sprain And I am In Deep Pain".

But I was just bearing the extreme, unbearable pain from within for I am really so afraid to go to the Doctor. A week before I was accident, my schoolmate way back in high school also had a fracture, exactly the same as mine, and she had undergone an operation. I was really afraid that I would took her path in the same way, so I just choose to have a home remedy, combined with extra doses of great faith, and strong belief.

Remembering the past, I had expressed a deep sorrow and despair through an article titled, "Just Let Me Weep With A Cry Of Despair". But I did not really know that I am not only having a sprain but a fracture.

Doctor Khu said, "It is too late!".

Yesterday, I decided to go to the hospital for I can now walk by myself alone, and just to make sure, I would have to undergo examinations just to double check what had really happened to me. I was referred in the emergency room. A series of x-rays were done to my left leg. Ten minutes later, I was directed to Doctor Khu, an orthopedic surgery specialist for fractures, arthritis, low back pain, scoliosis, sports injuries and children orthopedics and entered on his clinic with a dialogue.

Doctor Khu: "Good morning!" (While reading on the x-ray results)

Me: "Good morning, Doctor Khu!"

Doctor Khu: "When did the accident happened?"

Me: "It happened more than a month, Doctor Khu. I decided to have a home remedy but I have taken medications."

Doctor Khu: "It is too late! But it was already done and we can do nothing about what had happened.

Me: Doc? (My tears almost fall in front of him and I am feeling worried.)

Doctor Khu: "Based on the x-ray result findings, you previously have a cracked bone at the medial cuneiform. It usually happens due to a stress reaction with axial rotational force on the midfoot that is accompanied by accidents."

He then added, "Yet you are very lucky!" Your bones healed and are not dislocated so I would just give you take home medications. What a miracle! How lucky are you that your bones healed, good thing that you are still young and there is a natural healing process without undergoing an operation on the fracture.

Me: "I am speechless, Doctor Khu. I do not know how to react but allow me to thank you. Thank you very much for I am saved by grace."

Doctor Khu showed me the results on the screen, and I had really seen the signs of crack on my medial cuneiform but I am really very happy that I am saved by grace and was very lucky enough that my medial cuneiform fracture was healed. Perhaps the home remedy coupled with my great faith and strong belief have saved me from an accident that could have changed my life story forever. According to Doctor Khu, a month ago, I had an injury through a medial cuneiform fracture due to a stress reaction with axial rotational force on the midfoot. But based on the diagnosis, I am very lucky enough to escape from a misfortune, the cracked bone is now a healed medial cuneiform fracture.

Have you ever experienced a fracture in your life? How did you handle it?

Since I was young, I had never experienced to be in an operation room due to an accident. But in a blink of time, an accident knocked on my dear as I have ever experienced a fracture which had brought an ocean of tears in my life. Never did I thought that it would really happen to me.

Remembering those days back then when I soaked myself in tears, I could still feel the agony that I have been experiencing but nobody ever knew that I am really struggling with my health condition, but I remained resilient, coupled with great faith and strong belief that there would always be miracles from above. And I was right, through a leap of faith, I was saved by grace.

You would never know how strong you are, until you would experience a toughest moment that could probably change your life forever. The accident had taught me the best lessons in life in a difficult way and even made me realized many things such as the following:

  • Life is very uncertain and that I need to adjust myself through the directions of the wind;

  • There are thousands of reasons to weep but there would always be a million reasons to be grateful for;

  • Everything happens for a purpose that would either make me weak or strong;

  • Seize every moment in life for every great soul only go around once; and

  • Life is a fracture but a paradise of healing.

Perhaps I have experienced a fracture in my life literally and figuratively, with the doctor's diagnosis: medial cuneiform fracture.

I did not really have an idea about the image for I was thinking it is automatic saving from the link of the article but I have found out now through you, that I should have left. Thank you so much my dear friend, Sam. It really means a lot to me. Now I am enlightened because of you. Much love.

You are very welcome @talecharm.

Now I have had a chance to reread your post and time to respond properly :-) You are very fortunate that you did not suffer a more serious form of the fracture... in fact reading your article made me google it! hehe. I had no idea it was something that could be that serious. I mean the conjunction of these 3 bones helps to stabilise the foot through walking and running! So yes, very fortunate. And you took good action after the event even if you didn't see a doctor straight away.

I have had a few fractures in my life. The one that I sought advice for (like you...well after the fact!) was a thumb fracture. The x-ray shows a healed fracture and commentary was that it had healed well - I had strapped it myself (sustained the injury rather stupidly many years ago when I was in the snow on a boogie board of all things and had absolutely no control and hit a rock and went flying haha). Any way to look at, my thumb looks fine but it doesn't quite bend with the same degree of control as it should... although that may have been the case with a professional strapping too. I am also convinced that I suffered some fractures or sever bruises the ribs during my time at Jiu Jitsu haha.Never treated, just took time out each occasion. Then during the lockdown, fell off my electric bicycle whilst stationary....lol... long story haha... but hurt my shoulder... (not a fracture) turns out unrelated that I ended up with shoulder issues a couple of months later...ended up at doc and physio and discovered I had (also unrelated to both shoulder events)... osteoporosis! So now under treatment for that! Sometimes life works in mysterious ways to get us where and what we need ;-) It was great to see your post in Dreemport and I hope to see you posting regularly there. Welcome to the community.

Your valuable replies to my content really means so much to me my dear friend, Sam. And I so appreciate your most precious time and attention. I may had a fracture once but in your case, I did not expect you had encountered a lot of accidents. I see you as a strong and brave person even if I do not really know you personally. I have learned about osteoporosis and I think the bone is more susceptible to any form of fracture. Drink more milk rich in calcium, and some doctors would really recommend taking a tablet of calcium supplements a day. When I was recovering from a fracture, although I self-medicated, but I applied my theoretical learnings way back in College. I had taken supplements such as Vitamin C for faster healing and supplements as Calcium, and multivitamins too, aside from pain relievers. Although I am not really drinking processed milk anymore, I used to drink milk if it is a fresh one but not the powdered one. Regardless of the situation, I had really learned some lessons the hardest way.

By the way, I am so glad that I had the chance to meet you my dear friend, Sam. I feel humbled by your words and I would always be grateful for reaching me out on my problem. I do not really know how dreemport works. I only saw it when one of the bloggers here featured it on one article. And I felt like I would want to explore another platform. So I just registered but I admit, there is more that I should have to know. That is why I am really thankful for guiding me on how to post on dreemport. I would try to reopen and resubmit for another one if my article fits to the challenge of the platform. I recently knew it that there are really challenges of what type of article to write, I had only read it when I am about to post, I thought any article could be posted. Once again, I am forever grateful to you for a big help extended to me in ways you may never knew. Much love with a big hug to you my dear friend.

You are very welcome. Dreemport runs challenges in conjunction with the different communities on Hive usually over a 3 week period each month. So during those 3 weeks, one of the weekdays each week is reserved exclusively for Dreemport Challenge posts. The site is still in testing phase so it is being improved all the time through feedback from staff and the public curators :-) Most days of the week can be used to share any content provided it is not plagiarised content, does not infringe against copyright, is not spam, and meets PG 13 rating requirements. So it should be content fit to be consumed by a 13-year-old. So no excessive sexual content, violence, bad language etc. Always available to answer questions and assist with Dreemport. Fire away if you have anything specific you ever wish to ask.

Grateful of the very informative remarks dear friend, Sam. I really did not know about it, but I just noticed that for 2 days, remarks indicated to answer the challenge questions regarding ecotrain, so I am thinking about it that it is specific. It did not indicate as daily submission, good thing I did not submitted my entry. And then just the other day, I noticed it is now open for daily submission, so I submitted once again. I do not really have an account in hive. I am only in read.cash and noise.cash. If not because of noise.cash, I would not be here. And if not because of read.cash, I would not know about dreemport for I have just read an article about it hefe in read.cash written by somebody. I was curious so I explored the platform. And then now, I am so glad to have a very dear friend like you, who is very much willing to spread awareness of how the platform really works that is why I am really very grateful to you dear Sam. I may not personally know you, but from the bottom of my humble heart, your goodness so touched my life. I am forever grateful to you in ways you may never know.

aw, you are very welcome. I truly enjoy your posts.

Hive is a fantastic platform too. There are some incredible communities to explore... maybe something to think about if you ever have the time. You could quite easily cross-post your content there and you will find a large Dreemer community on Hive too. People's choice of blogging platform is very personal though and that is one of the key reasons for Dreemport's existence and why it is enjoyed by those who use it - because it directs people back to their posts on their own home blogging sites and allows interaction via Dreemport of writers across platforms. So there is no reason to give up your blogging home, even if you choose to explore Hive a bit more one day. We are finding that a number of people from read.cash are starting to post on Hive now too and the interest in read.cash is also growing as more Dreemers from Hive read posts from the read.cash platform in Dreemport :-)

Have a wonderful day, Talecharm :-)

I'm telling you please don't treat it that way when a body part is involved. You may feel pain at the operation but that pain will far less for the lifelong pain which innocently you could be inviting by not treating it early. Generally if a bone is fractured, they apply plaster or paris whatever they say, it's like a cement in which you wouldn't be able to move joints for 15 days or a month until it heals. The operation is only done when the bone is cracked into pieces where they put rod to connect it. I had my wrist fractured in 9th standard. The pain was unbearable. I went to the doctor, first my father hold my legs and other person hold my body and the doctor aligned my wrist. The pain was too much but after that he applied plaster on my hand and in a month I took off that plaster and my hand was feeling better. Later I was informed that there's less painful way where they use injection to numb the pain, haha. When it's about your body don't go easy on it. It's the best and most precious asset you can ever have.

As I was reading your valuable replies, I am feeling aches and pains that your words exactly described how I felt my dear friend, TheGuy. I so appreciate your profound thoughts and remarks. That was really an unbearable pain, brought me an ocean of tears and sleepless nights, but due to phobia, I had even risked myself and I have realized that it was one of the biggest mistakes I have done in my life. When Doctor Khu said that it was too late, he was like angry at me for not consulting a physician right after the accident. But who would have thought I am already fractured. The accident happened on a rainy day, when I got slide against the floor. As for me, that was just an ordinary slide and thought of it as only sprain but it is really sad to know that I got a fracture. Good thing, I was lucky enough to survive such struggles. As for now, what makes my foot a bit swell are due to the tiny hairline structures affected. But I am really glad to know the results of having a healed medial cuneiform fracture. I would undergo a rehab so it would really heal going back to normal. Thank you very much my dear friend, TheGuy.
