"Self" Uncleanliness Is Unholy: You Are God's Temple

Honor God by loving your bodies. God is honoring you by making His temple too.

Cleanliness is holiness.

We are not talking about overacting cleanliness where you don't allow yourselves to touch or play in soil anymore like those who works at farms or agriculture and the maintenance people.

Bodies don't just means physical but our mental well being, our emotions, our hearts and conscience and more, it also pertains to our world within. I guess these are the reasons why Christ taught us to clean first these part of us before we offer to Him and ask for prayers or petitions. Since what we are asking cannot seen yet, cleaning our spiritual bodies which cannot be seen is to have a clear path to allowingly receive our answers.

A clean conscience and hearts in Christ reflect God's perfect will & being one and in Union with Him will allow us to see the pre-answers even before we touch it in our hands.

THE TRUE & PROPER WORSHIP

Romans 12: A Living Sacrifice

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Cleaning our bodies whether physical and emotionally/mentally/consciencely even when we fast is holiness.

As a temple kingdom of an excellent Creator even without no one commanding us, by ourselves we would love to look good and we would like to be free of guilts and bad thoughts and emotions. Unknown to us, the Holy Spirit is working with and on us about this matter.

Touching physical dirty items don't necessarily means we are already unholy. I believe Jesus don't think like this too for in the holy book they have said "Do not touch, do not taste nor eat are merely human rules and body punishment. It doesn't teach us of maturing our self-control".

Colossians 2

20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

I guess in this topic, Christ is telling us that what we eat or touch doesn't defile us and doing so is treating our physical bodies considered by the bible as only rude or harsh body treatment, those human rules don't help us in having a self-control (restrained sensual indulgence) against lusting, coveting, saying evil words, thinking wickedly etc.

We also believe like what preacher Ed here are teaching that the Lord wants us to use our senses to enjoy His creations, our foods, our water, the nature & the smells, the taste, the sound etc. Use your senses to worship God in everything and be joyful. Enjoy your food, your smell lol, the things you hear etc.

Jesus wants us to be clean inside, for what comes out of our mouth is what defiles us.

What we touch & eat in our hearts and minds are what can make us "dirty".

If in the physical world we can clean our bodies with water and soap bubbles after we touch normal dirts, in the Spiritual world we can also clean our inner temple or kingdom by Christ's spiritual water & soap bubbles - Words of God.

Thanks be to Jesus the highest priest for we can go and confess into His goodness & righteousness when we fall in grace and errors to clean ourselves.

Cleaning our bodies both physical and spiritual are holy, let you as the temple kingdom of the Most High Spirit look good, smell good, dress good inspite of touching "physical dirts sometimes" (physical dirts don't defile your hearts if that's according to your faith).

Here's cheering on your inner body temple ready to be wash by Christ' spiritual water and soap bubbles, (no need to advice you of cleaning your physical dirt, that's easy to you as 123🥴),

You're right friend our body is truly the temple of God. I am really excited with the bible verse you use in your writing. Romans 12: 1 is one of my favorite scripture. Let me still quote it Therefore I entreat you by the compassion of God brothers to present your body a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service unto God.

Your favorite is Romans 12, the whole verses are beautiful Fairguy. This body is His as the verses said we already died in the elemental forces of this world and became a new creation in Christ.
