Soon it will be feast of Immaculate Concepcion in our area. Before Pandemic a tradition that I grew up with was daily novena for 9 days and procession. The kids also enjoy this since you will bring your own candles with paper design so that your hands wont hurt as it melt, after praying we have to line up and will be given food thats why we are always present each day. Daily they will be having different events until the feast. There is pageant, basketball awarding, amateur singing contest, live band , sayawan (disco) and many more. There will be perya or it was like funfair, O enjoy this alot I got to have the chance to won big prices like big softdrinks, 1 pack of jelly, or 1 pack of biscuit by just betting on the color that you like as they throw the ball and once it stop on your chosen color you will win a corresponding price. There is also a,board where you throw coins and got prices like plates, money ,cup or coke I always try hitting the jackpot but I never won haha.. And on the day of the feast which is December 8. All houses will be having plenty of foods to serve on the visitor. An ice cream man , a taho vendor that you didn't know are allowed to eat inside the house I have seen how generous my grandparents and parents since they allowed everyone to enter the and enjoy the food they prepared. This is also the time that an unplanned but happy reunion will happen since our relative will come even those 3 to 4 cities away. It was a very happy occasion before pandemic strike. Now many things have changed but I know its for the best.
