We had a lovely walk this afternoon. It's a real autumn weather now, gloomy, a bit cold, and rainy but still beautiful outside. When we got home, Mamo lit the fire place in the kitchen to keep us warm. Good morning, wonderful people! I hope your day is going well. I would like to share this homemade baked beans and rice that hubby and I cooked the other day. Most of the herbs, vegetables, and spices are from Mamo's garden. #grateful Watch the short video here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/TIPtSaHxCrk These herbs cannot survive in the winter, so we dried them. Fruits and vegetables are kept in the garage ( cooler temperature ) and some are canned and pickled, ready for the colder months. Yup, just like the ants, we stock up, work hard in the garden every summer. Winter can be hard here sometimes.❄🏂❄ We are thankful for the simple food that we have on our table. Nothing to brag about. I was running like a horse😂 this morning to meet up with a lovely Filipina lady that I met last week. It was an impromptu appointment(walang ligo ligo😂) We had a nice chit chat then went home and helped hubby at home (karpentera mode the whole day) knocked out after that 😂 I hope you guys are doing well. After breakfast hubby and I went to the hardware store then went to the church and lit candles. I'm thankful for the nice weather, we were also able to work at home (part-time karpentera den ako 😂) still lots of things to do but we are getting there. 💪 Nothing much is happening here, just enjoying the sunny weather. Hopefully, we can walk again to the forest, and pick some berries and quince. Keep safe everyone. Hiyaaa!! Good morning, everyone! Look at those rosehips. They are all yours, free from the nature. Last year, hubby and I collected a lot, we dried and made them tea and jam. Picking rosehips is a bit of a struggle because the branches have spikes. (2nd photo bff caught me again taking photos.😂 The 3rd pic was from last year.) Life is like a rosehip shrub, everyone has their own cross and thorns. This morning, I went downstairs to cook for lunch but Mamo had already made some cabbage with rice. (sa wakas rice 😂) She's always up early. I told her that the time changed starting today, 1 hour backward. 😂 Aigoo😂 we laughed she could have stayed 1 more hour in bed. The time adjusts automatically on the phone. But the old clock needs to be adjusted manually. 😂 Sharing some fresh harvest cabbage that they are selling in the market. Everyone here is busy stocking up for the winter.
