=From Russia with LOVE= We ran out of wood this week (extended winter brrr) so we used an old electric heater (40 years) I asked my husband where the electric heater came from and he said his father brought it from Russia. Me: How did he travel by plane or train? Hubby: Maybe train. Me: Oh wow, nice we can go and visit Russia. I like to try the train. Rimbie: Ohhh gezellig in the cabin train. I'm imagining myself looking through the train window, making photos and videos... Hubby: I think we need a visa. It will take maybe 4 days if we go by train. I searched on google. Me: Oh yeah we need visas. Me: " Do we need a PCR test too? (Swab test for covid, usually valid for 72 hours) Oh by the time we get there our PCR test will be expired" LOL Ok back to reality. There's no way that we can go anywhere haha This is how you can travel today, just imagine that you travel somewhere and then wake up! Someday, I'll see Russia not only in my dreams! hihi that´s not bad a travelling 40 year old Russian electric heater, and it is still working??? Jesus that´s why these guys win a war, they invent things that have a low or easy maintenance, most of the Russian Cars could be repaired with a hammer and some other simple tools, I guess they now the meaning of lifetime guaranty ! Amazing! I have exactly the same one and also use it to this day in a country house. Our cat likes to bask under it. But you need to take care of the heating elements, you can not splash water on them when they are turned on: the glass tube bursts and it fails, and it is already impossible to buy such a one. We only have one left.
What a coincidence! Thanks for letting me know. I was trying to read the brand, can't find it anywhere. This is an amazing heater, too old but still working and the design and color are very impressive. Unfortunately, this was a long time ago, and now the same technologies are used as in the whole world, and we also suffer from their short-lived nature.
