---Samuel's Fortress- Ohrid North Macedonia---- We want to come back to this beautiful country, Macedonia. My family visited this place 2 years ago. It was a 6-7 hours drive from Sofia, Bulgaria. Ohrid is a lovely city, highly recommended, the locals are friendly and very accommodating. They even welcomed us with a rakia (strong drink. When you drink rakia,it's like an antibiotic coming down to your throat sooo strong lols) Did you know that Ohrid was Bulgaria's capital before? It was one country, the same culture, one heart. (They can understand each other, Macedonian, Serbian and Bulgarian language. ) You'll find this Samuel Fortress, in Ohrid. Kings used to live there and fight many battles, protected by huge walls. There is a similar castle (Kra Kra Fortress) in Pernik Bulgaria, lots of history. Maybe I'll share it next time. I hope we can all go back to normal life soon.
