Being A Rookie Freelance Graphic Designer (Part 1)

Been a year since I've started doing **Freelance Graphic Design** and I'd say I'm proud of where I got in that short span of time. Also, I never had any proper education about graphic design but I figured I could learn it all by myself through videos/articles online. Fortunately, I was able to achieve my goal of learning it on my own, though it took a whole lot of time, patience, coffee, cigarettes & headaches. My first experience in working on something where I could earn something was for a group of people who wanted to start a Clothing Brand called **SLEEPNGRIND.**

This was probably about a year ago, I was thrilled to have the chance to put my graphic designing skill to the test. The clients wanted me to make their logo(unfortunately they already had a certain font type in mind so I didn't have much of creative freedom),make some simple print design they had in mind, shirt mock ups for social media and a size chart.

No doubt, that project was a blessing, but at the same time it was a bit of a let down since I was expecting to design something challenging. But I really can't do much since it's the Client's request. So I got paid, sent them the files. Also, I got a free shirt from them and honestly, I was really happy seeing the finished product of something I've worked on. Though it was simple and a bit boring, but as my first project in freelance graphic design, I definitely felt proud.

For my first attempt to write an article, I'll keep it short. For the next part of this article I'll be sharing my experiences further deep into the "World of Freelance Graphic Design".
