It is no longer news that the three social media platforms Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were all down for several hours yesterday. It is no longer news that the owner of the three platforms in question lost billions of dollars during the course of that shut down. Aside the owner of the platforms losing billions in revenue, equally, many users of those platforms lost huge sums of revenues too. Mostly, those who make their advert and sells on those platforms. Now, what would happen to the world and many online businesses if the internet would shut down for 24 hours? How would people react and what would be the effect it will have on the general world populace? This is food for thought for everyone. Internet is part of our lives now. We can't do without it! #RandomThoughts
