LOST
You! A damsel in distress All you sought is approval You built a wall around your heart Plagued by your insecurities He cleverly plunged his way through Mirroring your every weakness. Just when the die is cast As if he said "open sesame" You broke your walls, and lowered your guards. He sweeps you off the solid ground Leaves you floating in the air He wraps your body in pulsating grip Pleasures you in ways untold You have found the one you think. You let everything else disappear He said the slum is his favorite place So you left your daddy's palace He says you're pretty just in red You comb the malls and markets Taking every red in sight He says you're everything gold Just he likes them fierce and bold You throw that coyish girl away You Cinderella now Sasha Fierce You desire to keep your man He says he likes the show And so you puppet on Soon the show is over Your darling audience sets to leave He wants a woman not a puppet He leaves you on your fancy stage Your reflection stares at you in the face It's a stranger you see, not you You ask yourself, how this could be You say that men are mean and cold That's not true baby, it's just him He led you on to dance in the pool You played the fool far to long It's time to dry and leave the pool Find yourself, oh ye lost And then the right one will find you.
