Where's The Water?

Isn't this day so hot? I mean, staying indoors is hot, while going outdoors is also hot. Sheesh, what a weather.

Isn't just me, or the water won't come from our faucets?

Did you have this experience? When you need water, but there's no water? And you have to force yourself to fetch some water? Yeah, that's what we (me and my family, and other neighbours) experiencing the same problem, after the Typhoon Odette.

The time when you hear the tap water is gushing from your faucets, you immediately rushed thru your backyard, or bathroom and you have buckets to fetch some water before it went out.

We experienced it, but there's some times, no water for a day or so. And rarely get the chance of faucet water coming out from the faucet for whole day.

We have to stay up till 10pm or 12 mn just to check if there's water. If there is, we immediately take the buckets and fill it up for supply. What happened to our water supply now?

Before then, we paid bills for water and electricity, and everything is fine. Until Typhoon Odette came by, and took our water meter off the pipes, leaving us no more water meter.

After like 3 months after the aftermath, and my father being the "madiskarte" type of person, he then made a solution to our water problems.

He remembered that the water pipe near the street can be opened for some reason, he took this chance to make some use of it. He took a long hose, connect it to the pipes, and the water is gushing from the hose.

However, this is only temporary. We want to connect our faucets to the real water pipes when the waterworks is up and running. The pipe we connected is really water-dependent, and it was connected from the nearest river.

The water flow will slow down the more people uses the pipes, and eventually will not flow to other people's faucets or hoses. There's really a common instances where there's literally no water coming from that pipe!

Thank God, it is very clean, and, it's water lol.

We really don't get what happened to our water. Shouldn't the waterworks cares for this type of thing?

But I get it as well, because there's some times that construction workers, working on road fixing and widening, accidentally broke the pipe, which is bad for people far ahead.

People need water for most needs, but some people just don't care turning off their faucets as they don't get charged from water bills, even when their buckets or barrels are full. I hope they realise it soon enough.

Of course, firemen will help us getting water, but no, some places are now okay with this situation, without knowing the other places they covered. Firemen might think it's okay to stop during the operation they did last months. Really, really hard to cope.

There's also some water refilling stations that is up for refills, but with this problem left unsolved, they have to fetch gallons of water from nearby waterfalls, and put those on their tanks.

Don't worry, they make sure the final product is clean and safe, because they have tech to purify the water. And of course, expect high prices of refills.

And oh, just a friendly reminder, drink water regularly. This month might be hotter than you think. Stay hydrated!

How we conserve and save more water?

Well, we have to be conservative with water now, so we do this things in order to save water till water comes backs.

  1. We filled up empty or half-full buckets, barrels, or gallon/s if the water comes back. This will help us have water whenever no water is coming from the faucets.

  2. We never use more water than what we should use. We only use the water for necessities, and cleaning ourselves.

  3. We put some water to the basin for cleaning the dishes. This will save more water, and...

  4. Using the used water, we used it for watering our plants, or flushing the toilet.

You really have to be very careful at using water during this problem, always be prepared for anything.

This water problem is still here, and today, no water since yesterday. I pray this will be no longer a problem in the future.

This day is hot, and with limited or no water supply, this might be the biggest issue.
