From Felicity To Firewalls: My Tech Journey
My tech journey kicked off in September 2018, sparked by a dream that hit me like a lightning bolt when I was eleven ⚡️. In 2012, I was glued to Arrow (Season 1, Episode 3, "Lone Gunmen," October 24), totally fangirling over Felicity Smoak, the cybersecurity queen at Queen Consolidated. Her sharp mind, fair skin, and nerdy-cool glasses 😎 made me think, “That’s me in the future!” She cracked codes and saved the day, inspiring me to dive into tech—specifically cybersecurity and, later, trading 💻📈. At 16, life was a mess. I dropped out of high school, too broke for my WAEC exams. My aunt’s brother-in-law stepped up, funding my training at IBBIL, a tech firm. I aced my first exam, feeling unstoppable 🎉. Then—bam!—he ghosted me like a shady crypto scam. No funds, no training. I was gutted but kept my eyes on the prize 💪. In May 2025, I jumped back in with Chaindustry, chasing cybersecurity and trading skills. But life threw shade: health problems, no cash for transport, no laptop for assignments, and hungry days 😔. Starting late, I was lost, like trying to trade in a bear market with no strategy. I had to pause, but quitting? Not me. On September 24, 2025, I rebooted—late again, with challenges still lurking. I’m hustling to master trading patterns and cybersecurity hacks, believing my story will light the way for others. Felicity showed me tech is my vibe, and every setback’s just a glitch in my epic code. To anyone starting their journey: launch bold, push through the noise, and win like a pro 🚀. I’m turning my struggles into my superpower—what’s your tech story? #TechJourney #Cybersecurity #Trading #Inspiration #NeverGiveUp #WomenInTech #TechDreams
