Winter is our pitha festival in Bangladesh In winter, after the cake festival in our Bangladesh. Winter will come and it will never be possible to think that no cake will be made in any house.Winter means many kinds of cakes will be made and everyone will eat with pleasure. Many cakes are made like bhapa pitha, jamai pitha, hand cut fine pitha, bhapa Puli pitha, fried puli pitha, semolina pitha, nakshi pitha etc.There are also many other types of cakes.

A cake festival was organized in our college on 17th March, 2022. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a cultural program and a cake festival were organized in our college campus.

In order to preserve our tradition of making these cakes, a cake festival is organized in our college every year. All educational institutions were closed due to the Cavid-19 epidemic in the world. So for the last two years our college has not organized pitha festivals.

I will share an incident with you. Let me tell you about our college cake festival. At our college cake festival, many students made cakes and sold them in shops.He made cakes from each department and brought them and sold them in the shops. There was a lot of joy that day. There were cultural programs. There were dances, songs, dances, solo performances.

Each shop was selling different flavors and different types of cakes. I looked around every shop to see what cakes were being sold. My friend and I went to every store and saw the name of the cake. Most of them did not know the name of the cake. Let me name a few of these cakes, such as Hridaya Haran Pitha,Besam laddu, chilli chilli sweet, carrot pudding, semolina ice Fish cake, moon cake, cool pitha, Roll pitha, sunflower pitha, Milk chitai, coconut gakul pitha, Sesame gakul pitha etc. There were also many cakes.

The name of the cake decorated with flowers above is called Dhupi Pie. The green rasgolla that is seen is called chili rasgolla. There are many other types of cakes.

Dhupi pitha has date molasses and a little coconut in the middle. For these, the taste of pitha is doubled. The pithas are very beautiful to look at. All cakes were priced and written on paper. Dhupi pitha was priced at fifteen rupees and raw chilli rasgolla at thirty rupees.
