More Rock Than Ever!
Hello to all of you! :0)
Some news from my Rock band Alchemic Journey in the middle of a hard work phase. This is for two reasons:
- The first reason: and we can officially announce it! We will enter in studio mid December 2022 to start the recording of our 1st Album! It is at the studio Eloise Prod and under the direction of Eric Hostettler that will be recorded in a first time all the skeletons of the songs, mainly the drums, by playing the titles in live. We are already very impatient to start this new adventure! And we warmly thank Eric from Eloise Prod for his enthusiasm towards this project, and for his trust! :0)
- The second reason is that we are working hard to develop new songs, compositions, that we will make people discover during our next concert at La Taverne ALI BABA on December 10th! 3 new titles: "Je suis" (I Am) (completely revised, new music, etc..). A title now very Rock "Punchy". The brand new "Plus Rock Que Jamais" (More Rock Than Ever). Dynamite in bars! And to calm down, slightly, a "beautiful rock ballad" which does not have a definitive title yet (but probably "Sur Ma Colline" (On My Hill)), which could be situated between "Un Espoir" and "Le Temps Qui Passe", mid tempo. We have other nice things in our boxes, but it's going to be a bit tight on timing before the concert. Otherwise..
Our next Live is for December 10, 2022.
Musically, the Alchemic Journey sound has evolved a lot in the last few weeks. We have finally taken our marks with this formation, that is to say with 4 musicians. The best is yet to come! And as one of our song says: "Everything remains to be written..". We still have a lot of great stuff in the pipeline.
"Je suis", played for the second time here on our November 18, 2022 rehearsal, still "in deciphering".
I am the composer and I write the lyrics for the band. For a long time now, I haven't proposed anything new. Nothing really concrete anyway. I'm back in a creative phase with my musicians. We have changed the environment for our rehearsals. And it is, in retrospect, the best thing that could have happened to us. Because we were finally able to sit down quietly, without any stress. And play. Without going into details, it had become very difficult to be in the right state of mind in our previous rehearsal room which belonged to a music oriented association. We also decided to leave this association for good this summer. For freedom. And then they were really not correct with us on the level of the material whereas we had concerts programmed. Leaving us without anything. Sound system, etc.. We managed to do it alternatively because we have to believe and always persevere. Believe in what you do!
