Angel To my Late nephew
The heirs mouth with withered flowers, tinged with a thin under layer of fresheners. I walk into the room, people in the sofa, slouched shoulders, teary eyes, forced mournful smile. I took the dried roses from the table top, fixed the curtains, emptied the vases. Wiped the dust of your picture in a frame, it feels odd to look at it, cause i know, I'll never see your smile again. Shook the hands of people showing up, each looked me in the eyes. I just nod, and pretend I ain't in pain. I promise not to cry, but I didn't think it'd hurt this bad saying goodbye. But it's not knowing that you're gone that breaks my heart, It's seeing a mom in the corner, holding it all together, pretending she's not feel falling apart. But it's time for me to bid my farewell, now that heavens taking you back home, sending you're to a place you've always belonged. I shouldn't mourn now, cause I know, you were an angel first before you were Angelo.
