Expo - futuristic station Went for an interview at expo station there. When after the interview, during crossing the road, found out this MRT station with such a futuristic design. Was so impressed to it. Always did not notice this as always went to the shopping mall just next to the station. Only yesterday cross the road for office building only realise such a feature on top of the station. How you think of it ? Look like UFO coming to Singapore right ? Haha

Drain river Over weekend, I explore this part of Singapore. From toa Payoh town center, I took the overhead bridge from public swimming complex towards the Whampoa. Here I reached the big drain , which is so large until look like a river . And as the drain is just next to the expressway. The authority planted a number of big trees along the highway. Even the drain looks grand with the green as background. And windy as the cars drive fast in expressway. Quite a relaxing view from this angle.

MRT major disruption in Singapore Yesterday was epic. Have to spend so much time to travel back home. Because the MRT system was having major breakdown ! The electricity breakdown in many stations. INCLUDING Mine ! So it's super suffering 😭 as it happened during peak hours after work I was stuck in Jurong east , couldn't travel north bound.. So many stations affected yesterday, basically left me no choice but bus... Or taxi... Great mind think alike... How to board even an empty bus came.. also easily filled up... Stranded at the station for long time. Have to go another big loop to other places and took bus connect n connect. What a day !

Singapore Airlines in flight meal promo Everyone been "jailed" for long time. So when Singapore Airlines launched the promotion of its flight meals. In their A380 jumbo jet, not flying anywhere nor any destination, just get into the airplane and enjoy a wonderful meal. And the promo is sold out within 30min! I think many so waiting to have feeling of going Changi airport , do the immigration clearance , then boarding the plane. Even the plane is not taking off anywhere but stay put , yet so many willing to pay for the lunch meals. There are some promo from other countries as well like in Taiwan, no destination flight they call it, also sold like hot cake . Passengers just board the plane , and round Taiwan or Japan one round , then few hours later back to same airport.. Will you be paying a handsome fee for the feeling of back to flight mode ?

Good dinner with friends When you not so having appetite but to take dinner, what the best dinner in Singapore? Yes , it's prata ! I was having late lunch, so after work, still feel a bit full, but already arrange to meet friend for short catch up and gathering. So the best place ? Prata shop. Dinner for two with drinks only less than $10! And curry easily stir up the appetite and make the meal a enjoyable one ! Not sure why a week day is so few patrons . But its good thing to us, as we no hurry to finish meal and give up out seats for others ! Enjoyable dinner indeed !

Mosburger Impossible burger A friend came visit and asked for lunch together, so we went to nearby mall for quick bite before she left for metro. As friend is a vegetarian, so she suggested we to try out a new burger offered by the Mosburger , call impossible burger. Don't see it wrongly . Its name is impossible not inpossible haha. Because this burger is made of plant based ingredients, not meat content inside. This is my first time trying this plant based burger as well. After trying I think the taste really of the same as the beef burger. I think this impossible meat project is related to what Bill Gates is pushing now. As we all know, global warming is happened globally , and one of the major factors contributing to it is the meat industry , which take up a lot of crops and waters and electricity to make 1kg of meats. Comparatively to growing for 1kg of crops. Now the impossible burger price is still at the high side. I hope by getting more popular and more mass production , then the price could come down further and encourage more people to go for plant based diet as well. And to me, I'm sure will make a come back for the Mos Burger impossible burger !! It's nice , so will try time to time !

Singapore Mineral Water Advertisement Today when I watched TV, I saw a beautiful face appeared during advertisement. That's my favourite artist 😍 ! She's newbie in Mediacorp , so I also don't really know her name. But I like her show in last drama which she played a small sister role in 70s , so I didn't know how she looks in modern days. Today my eyes wide open when see her appears in TV adv ! Do you think she's cute ? By the way, I also quite surprised seeing an advertisement in mineral water in Singapore . Polar mineral water , quite commonly seen in Singapore mini Mart etc , I still think there's no need to make advertisement as this segment , customers will only go for good price product than quality. Anyway, I feel thankful to the Polar to choose my favourite artist as their brand spokeperson! I'm on my way to buy Polar water now !! In support of her !!

Covid19 spreading in KL, Malaysia Today a friend of mine share a bad news happened in his hometown Kuala Lumpur , that is his high school is asked by government order to temporarily close down due to few school workers were diagnosed to be covid19 positive. The message is as below : Pengumuman Penting : Oleh kerana ada kes positif Covid-19 berlaku pada seorang guru sekolah, maka KKM telah memberi Notis Perintah Tutup Premis bermula 9/10/2020 hingga 16/10/2020. Oleh itu Tiada Operasi Persekolahan (Pdpc) dalam tempoh masa tersebut untuk tujuan menjalankan kerja-kerja mencegah bermulanya atau merebaknya sesuatu penyakit berjangkit. Proses saringan Covid-19 akan dijalankan pada 10 Oktober 2020 (Ahad), Jam 10.00 pagi di Pusat Kegiatan Pelajar sekolah untuk semua guru dan murid yang ada kontak rapat dengan guru berkenaan iaitu murid-murid 3A, 4S2, 4S4, 5S2 dan 5S3. 3 orang pembantu makmal yang membantu dalam Amali Sains Makmal Fizik dan 9 orang guru di Bilik Guru Tambahan juga dikehendaki hadir membuat saringan. Sekolah akan mula beroperasi pada 19/10/2020 (Isnin). Harap maklum. Just when the Covid19 situation in Singapore is finally come down to controllable stage, our neighboring country started to hit by second wave. Our heart and prayers to all world citizens , hopefully this pandemic can go away asap and everyone back to normal life . I miss going shopping to KL, missing the beaches in Bali and the liveliness in Bangkok!

Beautiful Singapore Beautiful day with super sunny . Here I have the chance to travel downtown in friend car So I'd like to share with you all the beautiful skyline of my country Singapore. This is the CTE, which is towards the city center. Blue sky white cloud nice right ? Pedestrian bridge decorated with pink plants, and ground with grass as carpet. Big contrast and nice scenery to travel on board in an airconditioned vehicle. Colorful Vehicles lining up , all are gearing toward work place or leisure in the city area ! Salmon ATM During dinner time, I bumped into this ATM machine that's so special. It's called Salmon ATM. Basically what it does is just food vending machine. But the product you get is a frozen salmon . Haha it's putting the Norwegian salmon as its brand. And first of its kind in the world. From what I saw on the machine, the price is ok reasonable. And the seller yells this is contactless purchase. Haha but to press on the screen and button already contacted. But it save up the time to go in supermarket and beat the queue for cashier. Somehow also quite useful for salmon lover. No cash accepted for the machine. Only cards are accepted -either debit or credit. So far I have not seen any buyer come to the machine. I think need to inform my friend whom is a salmon lover to buy from this machine and give some comment eg whether fish is fresh and reasonable .hehe.

Singapore Daily- Queuing habit Do you like queuing ? I guess most of us will still prefer queuing as it's fairer ,first come first serve basis. But if the queue too long , then that's another issue. For high population density nation like Singapore, queuing is daily routine. Whether you buy food or see doctor etc. This morning, I went to market for some food. But it's a weekend morning, so many having the same thought as well to look for breakfast in market. Queue nowaday is super long, because of the social distancing practise. Everyone queue for 1 meter apart. Thus the queue long until late-comer will "enjoy" sun-bathing. Well , you know Southeast Asian wouldn't appreciate this right ? We dislike the super sunny days. It's too hot ! Photo above is the legend, the queue is 20+ people and it becomes a L-shaped queue . Not sure why people like this stall much. If were I, i'd turn away and go to the next stall without any queue and enjoy my food while watching others in queue. Haha.

Rainy day - spicy Thai food in Singapore It's chilling today as it rain during the evening. So me and friend decided to go for Thai food for dinner after work ! Come for Thai food, what is must not missed ? Definitely the tomyum !! Served in traditional clay pot and candle below to keep warm during serving. When the pot served, saline already non stop leaking.. This pot surely not enough for hungry person like us ! We added extra rice for delicious dinner as in Thai food !! Not to miss is their pandan leaf chicken also. They surely have secret recipe in marinating the food. Super delicious , one of it's best in Singapore!! Not forgetting the Thai style salad. This evening we were Thai for an hour. Sawadeeka ! Recommend you to try tomyum food especially during rainy days !!

Singapore daily life Today was just a normal day for me. Middle of work week. Started working for 3 days and 2 more days to go weekend During lunch time when walk across the metro track, I saw this little plant that grow from the small hole that happen to trap some rain water. And the seed can grow and become this big ! This scene has inspired me to work harder ! As small as hole , seed can slip in and grow from there given the bad environment. I must work harder , both on daily work , and also introduce friends to get on board this beautiful blogging space that rewards writer with crypto BCH! Hope BCH and I grow together, regardless of current bad market in crypto and stocks !

Durian season and misfortune Now, it already entered season of the king of fruit - Durian. You can easily see many fruit stalls will temporary selling durians as their main product during this time , especially in Singapore. I want to share a joke from a friend real experience , which we made fun of him repeat and repeat everytime it's durian season. My this friend is a durian lover- real durian die hard fan. One day , he invited us to his house for a durian feast for special species , which is rare and from a super old tree. So he showed off this gorgeous baby on his rack. Asked all to take photo prior to open for the historical moment , special species . To remember the memorable day. Here comes The opening moment, we were excited to have took part in it. Oops something wrong 😅. Never mind , some durians is indeed like this. Maybe the tree is too old. Our hands and head shaking , after several tries to fail .. And burst out in tears of joy , for a piece for few of us to taste the special species. Since then , we always ate durians at the stall itself than buying them home for enjoyment...

Incineration in Singapore Recently I read an interesting article on the press about Singapore waste management, and I think worth to share with fellow friends here in read.cash. So the whole process is like photo below: Garbage collected from whole country will be sent to Tuas West Incineration plant. As you know, Singapore is a small country and do not have any land for landfill garbage. So they come out with idea to burn the garbage away. Then the leftover byproduct which is of 10%of the trash original size and volumn , then would be collect and send to fill up an island called Semakau Island. When they burnt the trash, energy generated and use for the factory electricity. Then Semakau Island,which is located southern of the nation, is planned to become residential island in 30years down the road. If you googled for the videos about this island. You could see greenery is already in placed there while waiting to be filled up. 1 stone 2 birds, settled the current trash storage problem and make the land for future use. Brilliant ya ?

Rising medical cost in singapore This the view from a private hospital, very good view right? But it comes with a high price. You will need to standby at least 10k for a small checkup . Normally people who stay will be with full insurance coverage. As you can see, surrounding private hospital are those landed houses. For your info, as land is scarce is singapore, if you stay in landed houses. Meaning you are pretty well off.. Rich patients looking out for rich people area view. I hope the new government could look into high hospitalisation cost in Singapore and propose some good solutions to people needs. Or at least make it more on par with government hospital. That would be good news to all its residents .

Sembawang Beach Garden As previously mentioned, I would like to share the beach park near my house , namely Sembawang Park. I always do jogging at the park. But this day I came here to take a breeze. I like this huge green lawn at the park. I think is very scenic to picnic near and good to photo taking. Simply just breath taking One more common scene is the park is BBQ . There are many BBQ bits there for rental. You can rent one to do BBQ with friends and family at this scenic beach park. But too bad, now covid19 pandemic season , all BBQ bit are closed for booking. So can only see the view , can't stay here long as in BBQ. The beach park also overlooking to opposite shore of Malaysia . And one thing interesting and funny is , my cellphone signal will always auto roam to Malaysian Telco, and received the sms - "welcome to Malaysia" when I visit the park :) Hope you enjoy reading. My daily life in Singapore I stay in Canberra. Hmm but I'm not Australian but from Singapore. Canberra is a new township located north side of singapore. As the country famous of garden City, the place I stay also pretty of greenery and lots of big trees along the roads. As most of the Singaporeans stay in government houses, HDB, so do I. And the estate I staying is pretty new, so the external building do look gorgeous sometimes. There is a park at beach side near to my house, I will bring fellow friends here to there in next posts. Fast food or slow food? If you have been to Singapore during the circuit breaker period, you would know the fast food chain here become slow food. Why? Because all customers were taking away food and as fast food are more and less prepacked with wrapper. It's no difference in taste be it you dine in or take away. Hence, huge flux to fast food chain for whatever meal , lunch dinner tea break. All sessions also packed with customers and most of them use apps to prebook. If you walk in and order, then that's it already. You have to queue don't know how long as many orders are from booking apps. The running number could be next is your turn , but total running numbers need to add in online orders.. You just need to stand for long if walk in. Sad..
