Imperial Flower

Sorry, this is not about poker, even more so knowing that I don't even understand that game. This time, the imperial flower is precisely her, who reminds me of that precious flower that has been so precious for so long.

And everything I feel for her, I represent it with this subtle object. And of course, I insist, I am not referring to the succession of cards that make up a move in poker.

I am a globetrotter, and I try to get to know each space I visit, and what it represents. To think that a small flower could represent my luck in love, sounds strange, but over time, it evolved perfectly.

But before I go on, a little bit of history for those who read me. It was in "The City of Chrysanthemums" whose name in Spanish I owe you, where these beautiful flowers began to be cultivated. That is why it owes its name "Chrysanthemum". Even the great Confucius mentioned them.

It was so popular and beautiful, that it reached Japan and an emperor liked it so much, that he began to adopt it as an imperial seal, hence the name of the royalty, and that is how I like to call it: Imperial Flower.

My beloved who is no longer here, loved these particular flowers, and I always gave them to her, because every good thing about them, reminded me of her adored face.

I gave them to her when we were friends, because they symbolize a beautiful friendship. I gave her red Chrysanthemums because they symbolize love, and so she understood that I was serious.

I gave her yellow ones, when she opened her little school, because that way I would give her abundance and happiness, and she loved it.

And I even gave her white ones when she got sick, because that way I was giving her health in the form of a beautiful imperial flower.

When she left this world, everything fell apart, and I decided to travel around the world, looking to live the life we did not have together, and especially not to remember those beautiful flowers, which made me see her in every place.

It was not until I visited Spain, that my world changed forever, because in the immensity of this planet, I met something impressive. That beautiful flower that I gave with so much love and devotion, also had its meaning in that place. They called it cemetery flowers, because they were the ones used to take the loved ones to their resting place.

I could not contain myself, during 5 years traveling, I promised myself not to buy or look at an Imperial Flower again, because it reminded me of more radiant times, but knowing that, motivated me to return home, and visit my beloved who already rested in peace, to be able to give her a bouquet of those flowers that made her smile.

Every summer I go with a bouquet, to remember those beautiful moments of the past.

Friendship, abundance, love, and farewell, all represented in a flower that reminds me of each stage of my life lived with her. Thank you for everything, my Imperial Flower.
