Man has three duties
Man has three duties- duty to God, duty to parents and duty to mankind. **Duty to God:** All of us are in debt. God has given us our lives, all that we have an earth and the hope of returning to live with him. In return, our duty to God is to keep His Commandments and lives worthy to return to Him. “During the preparatory period of our lives it is so important that we cultivate spiritual growth, physical growth, education, personal development, career preparation, citizenship and social skills. These qualities are all part of our priesthood duties and will help in the decisions that lie ahead for the next decades of our life”. **Duty to parents:** Our has many duties to parents. Such as, Treat them with dignity and respect, Don’t treat them like children, listen to them, make time for them, advocate for theme, learn from them, teach them, make sure they have a place to call home, learning and respect their wishes, don’t hold it over their heads when we help them etc. and what not. Last, but from least, our have a duty to live up to all the above obligations without holding it over our parents head. **Duty to mankind:** It is the duty of mankind – as a sensitive, fully coherent and impactful body of people to use the resources, talents, abilities and skills at our disposal for the mutual benefit of each other. If we were to truly practice the values of responsible citizenship, it would change us and the word alike and the values taught from Lee University’s Community Covenant would be expressed hands-on.
