My friend, John, has been putting off getting his car's 100k service for a while now. The problem is that he needs to leave his car in the garage for two days, and his wife relies on the car to take their kids to and from school. However, with the school holidays starting, John sees an opportunity to finally get the service done. He explains the situation to his wife and arranges for alternative transportation for the kids while the car is in the garage. On the first day of the holidays, John takes the car to the garage and leaves it there for the service. His wife is a little frustrated at having to rely on alternative transportation, but she understands the importance of getting the car serviced. The next day, the garage calls to let John know that the service is completed and the car is ready to be picked up. John is relieved that the service is finally done and grateful for the school holidays, which provided the perfect opportunity to get it done without disrupting their daily routine.
