I have Bangladesh in my lake

The blood of many martyrs was shed by the bullets

Wailing in the chest of green grass

Bengalis with their lives calling for freedom

But why is living in the heart of Bengal ??

I cried to my mother, "I will go to war,

Cried my darling little sister "

I didn't look back

I will bring an independent flag-

Destroy and dry the Pakistani aggressors;

I cried alone many nights to see the moon

I talked about drinking mud and kuchuri

I don't know when I will return home

I thought I came to fight only for freedom-

Bullet-filled weapons in hand.

I am waiting for the release of the fighter

I am on the battlefield for fearless victory

Let's save the value of this country

I have fought against the Pak aggressors

After nine long months, I got red and green

An independent flag

This country is mine, I am Bengali, Bengali is in my heart.
