"Shimbol" to "Fishball". This kid, at the same time my neighbor, would always come here everyday. At first, I always hear her say, let me say it in English though, "Aunt, I want to eat 'shimbol' "... This was how she always pronounce the word. One time, I was washing the dishes outside the house. She came to me... Instead of me telling her not to touch the water and the dishes I was washing, I just let her be. I took the chance and taught her. I said, "could you say, 'fishball'?" She said energetically, "shimbol"... I smiled and again said, "You have to say 'fishball' instead of 'shimbol'. Let's say it again." We drilled several times until she learned the proper way. And now, she can say it properly. Happy to hear her say the right pronunciation. Hehe. She was my first customer for today since I opened early. Good day!
