Let me share with you the process of how the dragon fruit's flower blooms during the night. As far as I know, the flower opens usually during the night. I don't know why. And they withered slowly the next day. The flowers are plain white and bigger than our palms ( it depends). It looks exquisite, and I love how it blooms in the darkness.   This was planted by my father and his dragon fruit has already borne fruit several times. For me, it's tasteless, but some people describe its taste as a little sour and sweet. But it's completely fine. I still love dragon fruit, especially the purple or dark pink color.
