Another Guy with a Plane: This Time, He Stays on the Floor (2)

Tuesday, first thing in the morning, he texted me, “Good morning.” It caught me off guard. It felt new, almost unfamiliar, because it’s been so long since I’ve had someone to exchange good mornings with. Still, I couldn’t help but smile. We ended up talking nonstop through the morning, our messages bouncing back and forth as if we’d known each other for ages. Then, out of nowhere, he asked for my Instagram username. I sent it to him, and a few seconds later, his follow request popped up on my screen. I accepted his follow request, but he didn’t reply after that. I couldn’t help wondering if my profile was intimidating or maybe just plain boring. I honestly didn’t know. Still, I followed him back, and that’s when I saw his profile. Suddenly, I was the one who felt intimidated. Hahaha. He seemed so outgoing, always surrounded by people, traveling to different places, and constantly in the spotlight. He’s even crowned King of the Night at every event. Meanwhile, I’m just this quiet introvert, like a ninja people barely notice. I tried checking his profile highlights and saw that he’s a licensed aeronautical engineer. So that’s why the title of the story fits him perfectly. Still, I couldn’t help feeling a bit anxious. What if he’s just like that guy with a plane who ended up unfollowing me? What if, once he finds out who I really am, he disappears too? That afternoon, he messaged me. He apologized for the late reply, saying he’d been busy. Who am I to demand his time, right? So, I just told him it was fine. We ended up talking about the business we’re both involved in, and I asked if he’d be the one to collect the payment from the office once it’s released. He said he wanted to, just so he could visit me, but that they had a collection staff assigned for it. I told him that was sad, but he replied that it was fine. He’d drop by anyway if he happened to be near the office. Ugh. It's hard to conceal this smile. We talked again nonstop, and he found out that I’m currently watching *Grey’s Anatomy*. We also discovered that we both love *Harry Potter*, and he said he’s eager to watch it with me someday. He told me he likes sweets—chocolates, cakes, and donuts—and that he prefers his coffee sweet too. He even asked me to make him a cup when we finally meet. He already has so many plans for that day, and I can’t help but feel happy about it. But deep down, I still have my reservations. What if they’re just words? I don’t want to end up disappointed. Today, I learned so much about him. Where he lives, where he grew up, his hobbies, and even about that one girl who followed him on Instagram, who happens to be my flirty batchmate. I jokingly told him not to follow her back because I wanted to lowkey gatekeep him. Hahaha. He asked me questions too, and it felt like we were somehow connected by an invisible string. He even has relatives with the same surname as my relatives, though we are definitely not related. At one point, he jokingly asked if I would be willing to follow that big family with him. I said, if you want to. Hahaha. Then he teased me, saying I am still in love with my ex of ten years. I told him, of course not. I guess he was testing to see if I have completely moved on. Ugh, if this guy only knew. I am so willing to get to know him more and make him a part of my life. Hahahaha. Then the flirty but wholesome messages bounced back and forth. He asked for my height, and I said I’m just a smol girl. He replied that I just fit right. I asked, fit where? He said, in his heart. Hahaha. Oh, this guy. Later, he asked what would happen if my ex courted me again. I answered, not a chance, but if it were him, maybe. He laughed and said, “Pag ako talaga, nanligaw sayo.” Oh, I wish! I told him, “Then you would leave me hanging all alone? I might really cast a spell on you.” We laughed together. Should I talk to Bellatrix about this? Just in case. Play *Bahala na* by Kenaniah.
