I enjoy pulling pranks on other people, but typically only people I know and who can take a joke and be the wiser for it. Unlike some prank masters, I don’t pull pranks that are potentially dangerous, rather I prefer the funny and simple ones.

Here are some you can use on your friends.

Try this one. If you own a car, send your victim into the auto parts store to buy some blinker fluid for your “bad” turn signal. The guy or gal at the counter has heard this one before. If they are feeling friendly, they’ll play around and look for it. Worst case scenario is that they will let eh person know they’ve been pranked. Either way you can’t lose.

Snipe hunt. When I was a new Boy Scout on my first camping trip, I was pranked on this one. What you do is get a person or two and ask if they want to go on a snipe hunt. If they ask you what it is, make up your own description. Take the person into the woods, jungle or other location and give them instructions.

For example, you can give them a paper bag or a net or just anything that you think is suitable for catching the nonexistent animal. Now tell the person you’re going to look in another area. Then leave them there alone. Eventually they’ll get the hit and realize they have been pranked.

If you own a restaurant (resto) you can send a new employee out to a store or another restaurant to buy a bacon stretcher. Restaurant owners in on the joke may send the person to another eatery where there is sure to be one.

Some other common fool’s errands are sending someone to buy some blue steam, looking for a glass hammer, buying a bucket of compressed air, finding some horizontal tent pegs at the hardware store, a liquid magnet, buying striped paint, asking someone to buy a  roll of film for your digital camera, purchasing a left-handed fork, and a buying new cursor for a laptop.

One of my favorites comes in two forms. End your friend to the market to buy ant milk. Tell them if they are out of stock that gnat milk will be fine. And if the store doesn’t have either one, be sure to tell them to try several stores.

Try one or more of the above and have a great time.
