KIDS KING TUTANKAMON He ascended the throne at the age of 9 and died at the age of 18. He ruled from 1332 BC to 1323 BC. In the early years of his reign, there was a return to the ancient polytheistic religion of Egypt. He himself took the name Tutankhaton instead of Tutankhaton. The power of this boy king was ordinary. When he ascended the throne at the age of nine, the country was still reeling from the chaos of his deceased father Akhenaten's wrong decision to convert Egypt from its traditional polytheistic religion to a monotheistic one. A royal advisor named Ay had used the young king as a puppet to reverse Akhenaten's policy, bringing the old gods back to their temples. Despite the numerous theories put forward, Tutankhamun's sudden death remains a mystery. Did he die of malaria? Was his broken leg gangrene? Maybe he injured a hippo. King Tutankhamen was only 19 years old when he died. There are many studies and speculations on the cause of this untimely death. The hypotheses range from being assassinated by his closest advisers, to a chariot accident, or an illness like malaria, to genetic bone problems (possibly because his parents are closely related).
