Hey I'm back 🤣 Post muna tayo, namiss ko magpost dito, sana tuloy tuloy na ang kasipagan ko 😅 Clinging to the Past: Struggling to Move On For many people, breaking up with a significant other can be a challenging and emotionally draining experience. Even after the initial pain has subsided and the heartache has faded, there is often still a lingering desire or need to cling to the past. For some, particularly those with a fixation on the past, this could indicate a struggle to move on. The need to cling to the past could take many forms. For some it could be an emotional attachment, a habitual pattern of behaviour, an inability to trust the future or hope for the best, or simply an avoidance of the present. In most cases, this need to stay connected to the past laments of an inability to fully accept the emotional rift, hindering the healing process and delaying the start of closure. It is important to remember, however, that eventually all wounds will heal and a new page in life can be opened. The healing process might involve talking to a trusted friend or family member, writing down your thoughts and feelings, engaging in an old hobby, or simply allowing yourself the time to come to terms with what has happened. Maintaining a sense of hope and trust in the future is also key to the healing process. This can involve remembering moments of joy or satisfaction, reaching out to people who provide a sense of security and contentment, or simply setting small goals to work towards. We all have the capacity to move on from the past, and it is possible to come out of such an experience a more resilient and strong version of ourselves.
