I take it you're not feeling like a dead duck, then ...
I don't believe I am, although I have never asked a dead duck how it feels. And I prefer to keep my luck whole.
Dead men apparently tell no tales. I imagine ducks are in the same category. You don't strike me as the type to sit on a park bench and eye little girls with bad intent, so at least you've got that going for you.
I finally bought this copy because even though my original didn't skip, after a bit over 50 years it had developed quite a bit of background & surface noise that was ruining things like the opening to 'My God' - that simple quiet acoustic guitar intro was imbued with these clicks and pops that were driving me a bit madder than normal.
I've never owned vinyl (although I've heard that analog gives a richer and deeper sound than digital, regardless of the sample rate). What little I do have on CD is packed away in storage, collecting dust. Most of the music for which I've paid is on an iTunes account. If I do listen to any of it on CD, it's because I've burned a copy. These days, with the prevalence of USB devices and streaming services, I don't even know where to go to get blank discs.
