There is no 'The' in the band's name---they are simply Eagles. Oh hell---I knew this was a top-selling album, but 26 MILLION copies sold in the USA rather boggles the mind. Maybe 26 million and one now---this is a brand new copy I just purchased yesterday to replace one I had that was getting a bit worn and noisy. Vinyl is not supposed to have a bunch of clicks and pops and so on---as long as it is handled/taken care of properly. My old copy I had bought used and it hadn't been treated with the love and respect vinyl deserves. Side one - 1. "Hotel California" 2. "New Kid in Town" 3. "Life in the Fast Lane" 4. Only song i remember it's Hotel California tbh. And it's a hell of a song! I may listen to a few more of this album, maybe i find myself a new hidden gem.
This reminds me of the time my mom and her husband dragged me to a bar. I was probably around 9 or 10 at the time, and lemme tell ya... BARS SUCKED. 😆 So I loaded up the jukebox with quarters and alternated between Hotel California and something else I don't quite remember. Of course I was a little shit and pulled the "but you said you REALLY liked those songs!" when asked why I'd queued up a couple hours of the same. two. songs. 💩 Anyway it worked out great because they never dared bring me back there after that.
