Soooooooooo...yesterday, for the FIRST TIME since I began monitoring Dad's phone calls on the landline since his stroke 25 days ago, I got a legitimate (not spam) phone call from someone looking for him. It was Carle Hospital...the same hospital he was admitted to May 9th and the same hospital that sent him to a nursing home May 19th. >.< Now, it is in their computer...but evidently they don't bother looking at it, and this lady wanted to remind Dad about an upcoming appointment with his eye doctor there. I was polite, I did not curse, nor yell, nor tell the lady she is a blithering idiot, but I sure did THINK it real loud. Instead, I told her to please check the computer patient files. There is a reason for computerized files, and there is a reason for all his doctors being at the same hospital. Is it any wonder most days I wanna just slap people?
