Morning visitor in the form of a katydid just a few minutes ago. Luckily Mr. Pete and Emoci are both off running somewhere (or cat-napping somewhere) and Scar is asleep on the hood of the truck so no one was trying to eat it. He flew off across the road to a neighbor's tree after I was done taking photos. Love how the wings mimic a tree leaf, makes for great camouflage in a tree, not so much on a bowling ball.
Good your kids did not notice this guy.
Evolution takes too long to form this kind ability to mimic a leaf. But if those 3 🐺🐱🐈saw it,thats end for that little visitor of yours, for sure .😂

When I was a kid growing up in Pittsburgh, PA, the weather started to turn in September, and by October we were having cold nights. Has the climate warmed up all that much already, or is this guy able to handle a frost or two?
