Heck yes! I love it when I am actually ready and a 'rare' bird comes to the feeders. This Red-Headed Woodpecker showed his face a few times yesterday, but the only shots I got were through glass that needed cleaned, and with my smaller point-and-shoot camera. This morning, I caught just a glimpse of it, so I got my DSLR ready and a few minutes later BOOM! it reappeared and I started snapping. This is only the third time in almost 9 years (I moved into this house in late June 2014) I have gotten a chance to photograph one of these. I think these four shots clearly convey the beauty of this bird.

Good catch. Sometimes I see him in the forest high above the ground working on a pine tree. 🐦

If you're not getting anything for them here, have you considered posting your photos on vixxi.me? You might not get much there, but a little is better than nothing, right?
