Well, I downgraded to an older version of Ledger Live so I can at least SEE my BCH even though I can't access it because my wallet won't sync up with this version. Looks like I'm going to have to buy a new computer or try to load Win 10 on this one...

Good luck with the upgrade. Try to use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, it should do the trick for free if your system is not too old.
As of October Ledger wallets will not sync with Ledger Live unless they are running Windows 10 or later. Nothing can be done about it.
I know, I read your posts about it. That's why I wish you good luck with the upgrade (of windows). I always use the Media Creation Tool when I have to upgrade a machine and most of the time it works fine and without the need to reinstall everything.
I'm probably going to have to get a new computer, I don't think the specs on this will handle 10.
You should give it a try. If it's not possible it will go back to 7 during the installation and nothing happens.
Except I'd have paid money for a program I couldn't use? Can't afford to waste the money.
The Windows Media Creation Tool is free do download from Microsoft and also upgrades to Win10 for free if your system ist ready for it. That's why it's worth a try. And if it fails, you have your Win7 back as if nothing happened. You just start the .exe, it downloads the latest version and tries to install it. If it fails, it cleans up everything. If not, you have Win10 with all you software installed. No need do reinstall everything. If the tool fails, here is another option. Actually it does not upgrade from 7 to 10 for free. You must already have a license for 10.
Just try it. I did it several times. As long as your Win7 is valid, it will take that license.

Damn. Next step is to download the ISO as shown in the video (same error there), extract it and start the setup.exe. The result is the same but hopefully without the error. Or give up and pay for a new PC. But I hope you can get it done the free way. If more hints are wanted, just DM me.
It might also be possible to import your seed phrase onto some other hardware wallet if that is a less expensive option. I have no more specific advice, do some research first.
I've been checking other wallets to find one compatible but...I've seen a couple, just not sure how much I trust them.
