Female red-bellied woodpecker on the seed block this morning. I have a pair of these that used to live in a tree hollow next to the house for 3-4 years until a windstorm destroyed their 'home' last year. Luckily both survived and took up residence in a hollow just across the street so I still get to see them daily. 8:00 A.M. CDT USA Olney, Illinois May 28, 2022

I believe that where you live is a comfortable and pleasant environment for birds to enjoy their lives without fear of humans.
I have a bunch out in thel Forest making all kinds of racket this morning. Knocking back-and-forth to each other.
