OOPS!!! Okay, so 5 hours later after I got up this morning I just now turned my cell phone on. I realize they seem to be a 'necessary' part of life these days but I still think they are noisy intrusive privacy invaders. I quite often - on purpose - leave my phone at home if I go somewhere. Now most of you will think "But that is why they invented portable phones, so people could annoy you with dumb stuff anywhere you are at any time of night or day!" Um....nope. Sorry. Homie don't play that game. I come from an older time, when going somewhere in the car meant you could actually get AWAY from the telephone. You could actually BE ALONE and have some un-wind time. It's hard (for me) to quite understand the mindset of today's society. Everyone seems to expect everything RIGHT NOW and doesn't appear to know the meaning of patience. And they've lost (or simply ignore) the ability to disconnect from things and pay attention to the world (sans people) around them. But never mind. This is just the ramblings of an old crank trying to enjoy his solitude without that damned noisybox driving me further down the road to insanity...
