One of the fun types of photos to try and capture is "the flip" as birds position the berry to swallow it. To capture this action, try the following: - keep your shutter speed up, over 1/1600 or more. This was at 1/2500. Having good light helps here. - try to position yourself so that behind the birds head is clear (better showing off the berry, beak, etc). This is quite hard, as berries are often in thick bushes. A bird on the edge or top of the bush will be easier. - set your camera to shoot as many frames as possible, and fire off several shots when you see the bird reaching for a berry. - use a small center focus point, pointed on the birds head.
