Aslam o Alaikum Good Morning 🌅🌄🌅🌄🌄 Third time is actually the charm! Thanks to Richard and some Barnden School of Photography tips, I was able to get the results I wanted. Tripod, neutral density filter, video spotlight, 2x strobes, and one +10 diopter helped along the way! If you didn't see my first-try post, this is a juvenile Harlequin (Many-Spotted) Sweetlips. These youngsters constantly flail about, mimicking a poisonous flatworm, in an effort to deter predators. Added bonus that the fish is literally right front of Sam's Tours. We can actually watch them grow up and change their patterns and colors. The motion provides a great opportunity to create this neat effect with a slow shutter speed and rear curtain flash sync. The last ingredients were patience and luck.
