Perception is a funny thing sometimes. I was out photographing a partially drained Lake Mulwala when someone walked past and said and I kid you not "isn't it ugly when it is drained". After being left speechless, I said "but it is great for photography, have a nice day". For information sake, Lake Mulwala is to be drained again in winter this year for maintenance and weed control.
