As the saying goes, "When your lover leaves your ass in pain, there's no one else to relieve the pain but an aspirin will come in handy". The other day we learn how to make aspirin in the laboratory to relieve the backaches of those failed lovers.

Making such drugs is a part of organic chemistry. A few days ago I did a physical chemistry lab where I learned to find out the critical temperature of an acidic solution made of phenol and water with the help of a spectrophotometer to find out the absorbance of a sample in a solution. And the compound that we were supposed to make in the organic chemistry lab yesterday is aspirin.

Earlier we learned to make soap from Naphthalene, Paracetamol, Glycerin and various other products but they were comparatively less difficult. But today we have to face various hurdles to make aspirin. Maybe you can learn to create something good by facing obstacles like this, because good things don't come easy.

One of the obstacles we encountered in the beginning of making aspirin in the lab was rain. Due to the effect of Cyclone Chitrang, we first had to get wet in the rain before entering the laboratory. After that I can't concentrate in my laboratory work, the main reason is Bangladesh vs Netherlands first T20 World Cup match. It was mandatory for us to see the score of the occasional game in Lab.

The next hurdle we faced was that we had to do about four to five steps precisely to make aspirin, which was very difficult for us to understand at first. Because we have to introduce some new equipment to make this product. One of which is the condenser machine.

By combining various chemicals, when we reached the final stage, the solution was hot, and the aspirin was dissolved in that solution. So we needed to cool the solution to get the product from the dissolve state. So by cooling the solution with ice, we get crystalline needles, which is our desired result.

You can see the reflection of the crystals in the light of the flash light on the mobile phone. Basically this is aspirin, which we take as various pain relievers or medicines. We will not consume this aspirin, but we have to show sir the record of how much aspirin we got from the solution.

But you know what's interesting, the entire solution that we made inside the conical flux turned into aspirin. And the image of the transformation from a liquid solution to a crystalline substance was amazing even though I forgot to capture the image on camera. But since I have to give a lab exam, I will try if possible to capture the moment when the solution turns into aspirin.

Thank you for reading :)
