The harvest of new crops on the land is a blessing for farmers. Every farmer works hard all year round in the sunny rains or floods to see the fields filled with crops. Farmers forget about every drop of sweat or hard work when they get a fair price for the crop. In other words, it is very important for the farmers that fair price is not enough for the crop. A few days ago I saw a video where a farmer was cutting down a papaya tree in his field. Because the price of papaya per kg is 3 Taka i.e. $0.02 only! Which doesn't pay off for their hard work. Which is frustrating for them and discourages farming. This is exactly the reason why industries are being set up on arable land. Because farmers no longer have the feeling to work on their agricultural fields.
