Hello, everyone!!! Spread love and happiness all over the world. 😍

Today, I gonna tell you something about our culture. "The Culture of Bengal". I hope you all know something about our culture.

β˜…Let's dive inπŸ‘‡

*Starting:

Every country or nation has its own culture. It is through this culture that each country and nation presents its own identity and its own characteristics to the world by establishing national life. And it is through the full development and manifestation of cultural life that the glorious form of every nation emerges. Basically a nation's history, way of life, language, independence, sovereignty, thought, art, literature all belong to its national culture.

*Culture:

Culture is the true Bengali of culture. Which means tillage or cultivation. The English word culture was first used in English literature by Francis Bacon in the late sixteenth century. There are no specific criteria, characteristics and boundaries for culture identification.

Sociologist Jones said, "Culture is the overall form of what man creates."

Anthropologist E.B. Tylor said, "Culture is the complex assembly of behaviors, uses, knowledge, beliefs, arts, customs, laws, etc. acquired as members of society."

*The bearer of culture:

Palligram is the bearer of culture. The culture of Bengal seems to have been captured by the rural areas. In Paragaon, a relationship of sincerity, affection and kinship developed between the neighbors. Homosexuality and mutual spiritual connection are manifested in the dress, customs, festivals, thoughts, manners of rural life. The traditional culture of the nation is the sum of these unique and enduring social behaviors of rural life. The traditional culture of Bengal is nurtured in this village. Winter Pithapuli Festival, Nabanna Festival, Poush Mela, Baishakhi Mela, Eid-Parvan, Jarisari, Bhavaiya, Bhatiali songs and various sports, etc., flourish the traditional heritage and culture of Bengal in the world.

*Basis of Bengali Culture:

The culture of a nation is controlled and determined by its geographical environment, religious norms, social customs, political and economic system. All these issues have also served as the basis for the development of the culture of the Bengali nation. The diet, dress, etc. of the people of this country have influenced the formation of the mind and character of the nation. According to the religious rules and scriptures of different religions, different religions have developed different rituals and customs. All these combine to create a non-communal culture in Bengal. And these are the basis of Bengali culture.

*Type of Bengali culture:

Dr. Wakil Ahmed has divided Bengali culture into three categories.

β˜…E.g.

(A) Urban culture of Bengal: The mechanical life of the people of the city is enclosed in iron cages on four brick walls. Urban life is influenced by the West and foreigners. The city has developed a mixed culture with a mix of cultures from different regions.

(B) Folk culture of Bengal: Folk culture is the culture of rural Bengal. It does not change easily. The influence of foreign, western and urban culture is rare here.

(C) Primitive culture: The culture of the small ethnic groups living in Bengal is permanent and unchangeable. Their relationship with the outside world is very low. They are accustomed and respectful of their own customs, rituals, religious beliefs and way of life. They usually make a living by farming, hunting and collecting fruits. Due to the lack of acceptance and exclusion practices and the lack of anagona and transactions, the cultural development and expansion of small ethnic groups has almost come to a halt.

*Cultural Heritage of Bengal:

The cultural life style of Bengal has developed in harmony with the nature and social life of Bengal. People of different castes and religions including Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians live here. They all perform their social and religious rituals in unison. They share joy with each other, others join in the festivities. Among the major cultural traditions of Bengal are folklore, music, seasonal festivals, various archeological monuments, sports, social customs, etc. Rural poets and writers have created folk literature by maintaining faith in God and religious harmony. Folklore includes rhymes, lyric poems, riddles, vows, legends, fables, proverbs, sayings, etc. Rural music includes Bhatiali, Bhavaya, Jari, Marfati, Palagan etc. Among the rural festivals and Bengali amazement are Bengali New Year, Nabanna festival, winter pitha-puli festival etc. The traditional jamdani art of Bengal is a part of the world heritage today. The work of the Dhaka branch, the sari of Tangail, the utensils of Jamalpur, the cool carpet of Sylhet etc. are part of our culture. Cultures like standing tied, gollachut, ha-du-du, boating in rural sports are immersed in the womb of tomorrow. Collective family practices, social bonds are slowly disappearing. Nevertheless, peace-loving people are trying to establish peace through social unity and mutual cooperation.

*Cultural change and expansion:

Our culture is built on the Bengali way of life. But our culture has changed at different times. Our own culture has been influenced by foreigners who have come to rule this country at different times. As a result, there have been some changes and expansions in Bengali culture.

*Decline of Bengali Culture:

Today the decline of Bengali culture has engulfed the entire nation with the evil influence of anti-culture at all levels of the obvious society. In the name of education, unethical poor education and factions are running in the name of social service. The mudslinging in the name of politics, the tumultuous hype in the name of music, the imitation of Western in dress and entertainment, the main subject of sexuality has made our cultural life filthy and filthy.

*What we have to do to prevent the cultural decline of Bengal:

At present, as inhabitants of the same world, we have to preserve our own characteristics, unique existence and culture from within the world empire. And for that we have to-

1. The nurture of foreign culture must be stopped and the native culture must be made useful in dealing with foreign culture.

2. The good side has to be taken apart from the bad side of foreign culture.

3. We need to spread our culture to all corners of the world through increasing the number of satellite channels and diversifying programs.

4. Everyone should be made aware of the negative aspects of foreign culture.

5. Every effort should be made to stop the foreign ugly culture.

6. Public-private patronage needs to be increased to protect indigenous culture.

*Ending:

Culture is as essential for the body as it is for the body. Culture is a reflection of our social life. And the pride of Bengalis is the long-standing culture of Bengal. There is secularism, non-discrimination and the desire to own each other. Under the influence of globalization and the influence of modern and foreign subcultures, we have lost our spontaneous way of life and unique cultural characteristics. So we have to preserve the culture of Bengal in the need of our existence. The overall development of the country will be accelerated by consolidating the cultural consciousness of the Bengalis.
