Here is the full blood moon I managed to capture a week or two ago... It was much more red but by the time I got the camera out it had faded to more orange than red. Still pretty proud of this shot as it is the first time I have managed to get a decent photo of the moon. #Nature

This is a male ostrich... the males are black, where as the females are more gray in colour. 1 ostrich egg is the equivalent of 24 large chicken eggs. An ostrich’s eye is bigger than it’s brain. They are considered very dangerous, their legs bend forward at the knee which makes for a mean kick and they have a massive talon like a Velociraptor. Random fact post for the day. On our exploratory walk this afternoon we came across an unreadable sign... it may once have indicated a station stop or trading station. Harsh weather and time have not been kind to it, though age has only given it so much more character and mystery. #SunsetPhotography

The abandoned and disused railway line that accompanies the mysterious unreadable sign. There are parts of the track that have trees growing in them, from their size one can tell that the track hasn’t been used in a very very long time. The wooden slats between the rails have seen so many winters and harsh summers that they have started falling apart. #SunsetPhotography

One of the old churches in our town... Sadly I could not do it justice as I am still learning the tricks of the wide angle lens as well as needing to work on the colour setting of my laptop. Busy with another bug for my Otherworld NFT collection... the finer details on this little dude is insane, his head is kinda shaped like a manta ray and I think he is similar to a decorator crab, adding pieces of his surrounds to his body as camouflage. #Naturelover

My daughter and I made this delicious pot bread yesterday. Pot bread is often made at a braai (bbq) in a cast iron pot. We added onions and green peppers to the dough and generously sprinkled sesame seeds on top. #Parenting
