The year was 1973 and a Landmark decision was at hand within the United States. A decision that would soon effect the lives of almost every individual within the United States as well as the potential to influence National Policies of the same likeliness.

So, what was the major decision that was being debated at such a time in American's History? The right of a Woman to choose whether or not she wants to have an abortion regardless of circumstances.

Should a woman be allowed to legally have an abortion?

This is a heavily debated subject since the 70's and even prior to the landmark decision. A lot of valid points have been made for all parties involved an I have a differing opinion than most do in regards to the matter, but lets take a look at the different opinions of those involved.

Should Abortions be allowed to take the place of normal contraceptives?

Honestly? Morally? I have to say NO: This day in age we have all kinds of various contraceptives available for females as well as males in order to prevent pregnancies instead of an abortion. On the other hand, meaningless abortions as such has lead to major breakthroughs in modern science.

Condoms, Plan B Pills, Birth Control and even adoption. One major option about adoption is the amount of children that are in foster care facilities already.

Religiously?

I would be willing to go out on a limb and say that if you are religious than abortions are more than likely against your beliefs period. Should the Government be allowed to make a ruling based upon religious views?

I think regardless of ones beliefs, it is more important to uphold separation of church from state. At the same time we have to account for the fact that no religious person should be forced to violate their own religious beliefs in order to give any persons the right to a legal abortion.

Should a religious hospital such as Jewish Hospital have to offer abortion services that are non-medically necessary abortions?

No, They should have the right to refuse Abortion Services as there are already numerous professionals that are more than willing to do abortions for compensation.

Should tax payers have to pay for abortions?

No, The woman at question that wishes to have an non medical required abortion should have to pay for her own abortion.

Should the other half have a say so?

Yes and No. I personally have been through this one. I was 15 years old and had unprotected sex that resulted in the girl at the time having an abortion. The same girl to this day is still unable to have children. I had no say in the matter.

While that was extremely hard to accept, I had no choice in it at all. Now with the above pointed mentioned... The man doesn't have a right to tell a woman she has to go through with the pregnancy.

Although he doesn't have the right to walk away from the pregnancy without any financial obligations. The man should be legally allowed to abort his parental rights and walk away from the pregnancy with out the consent of anyone given the female has a right to terminate the pregnancy.

What should be deemed Medically Necessary?

Medically Necessary isn't a thoroughly defined definition. The definition needs to be broader than at it's current form. Woman should have the right to abort a pregnancy when the fetus is determined to be a stillborn, major birth defects as well as rape/incest and any pregnancy that threatens the life of either the child or the mother.

Should the Federal Government have the right to decide for every state/territory?

Obviously, NO: The supreme court ruled "the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion" and that "the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives"

Which at the time of the ruling of Roe vs Wade the over whelming majority in the state of Texas had elected their representatives to vote against abortion accordingly to the will of the than people.

My unpopular opinion!

I believe under certain circumstances a woman should have the right to have an abortion. However I believe if a woman has the right to choose whether or not she wants an abortion than the man should be able to equally decide to abort his rights with any financial responsibilities to said child.

Furthermore that no religious entity should have to condone, support or make readily available either abortion services or funding for abortions to its clients. I also further believe that the government should not offer any abortion services in the form of Planned Parenthood or any other type of service.

Also we need to protect the rights of woman to choose whether or not to have a medically necessary abortion and that term needs modified to include rape victims/incest within that definition as no female should have suffer the trauma of rape and be forced to birth the child as well.

Warning this part will piss off every pro abortion person: You should not be allowed to use abortions as a form of contraceptive. You have other means such as adoption. You can even drop unwanted children off at safe house in the States.

You have plenty of options that are provided and at your disposal that you shouldn't rely upon an abortion. I could possibly, but not really understand a one and done

Was it Political?

Honestly, this seems like more of an election scheme in order to sway voters one direction or another. I see for a lot of politicians to wind up being replaced within certain states as side effect of this.

Funny how Democrats have been know for speaking out against abortions in the past but seem to be using abortions as political ploy now to further Democrat agendas. Time will tell, but this is another distraction to keep the Zombies of the World looking down instead of around at the major issues that are going on in society.

Hopefully if any good comes out of this, man will have more rights when it comes to aborting parental rights without financial responsibility.
