Bridget

Bridget, an orphan, lives with her aunt Sarah and her family. She had been living with her since she was 15 years after she had lost her parents in a ghastly accident. Her aunt has a bossy attitude even to her husband and she had been controlling the house with such attitude. Ever since Bridget had lost her both parents she had been living in a trauma, her aunt had spent a lot on her medications, she had become fed up of her right since she had steeped her foot in her house and she had hated her since then. Bridget had no choice than to stay with her, she had no one else at that point in her life.

Anthony, the only heir to the MENUS family is to take over his father's company after he had been in a coma due to an accident. However, he must get married before he can gain access to his father's company. Anthony had given up on marriage after he had been betrayed twice by the one he truly loves. They all loved him because he had what they need, money. Anthony wants someone that will love him for who he truly is.

Aunt Sarah offers Bridget to Anthony's mother, she had somehow found out about what the family needs at that moment and she succeeded in selling Bridget off because of money. Anthony's mother at the other end is in a haste to find a woman for his son for him to be appointed as the heir to his father's fortune.

Anthony made it clear to Bridget that they would have no form of intimacy or closeness together. She can decide to divorce him after he had been appointed as the CEO of his father's company. Anthony knew she wouldn't want to do that after she would have had a taste of his family's wealth. Well, he has been in that situation a lot so he assumed it would be so.

Soon they got their marriage registered, it was in form of a contract to Aunt Sarah, but to Bridget it felt like a new phase of her life she's entering alone, she is going into a family she does not know and she has to face it alone. Anthony's flew out if the country three days after their marriage. It's as expected, he never took a second look at her for a moment. It's obvious he wasn't interested in her. Bridget lives alone yet in the midst of a family. She must do everything in her power to be accepted by her new family.

Mary, a sister to Anthony, the boss lady that took after her mother, hates Bridget so much, she doesn't talk to her, instead she haunts her with every words of her mouth. Mary is pained with the fact that her brother is forced to marry a lady he is not interested in and Bridget has to enjoy her family's wealth even though she's not needed. Mary continues doing this to her, she knew Bridget will one day leave.

Things are not going as planned for Mary, Bridget withstand every of her abusive words, she never ask for money or any material things from any member of the family, she joins the family for meal after which she disappears back to her room. Even after Anthony is back, she never made any attempt to gain his attention. Everyone in the house including Anthony finds it quite surprising.

Anthony first noticed her condition, she pants sometimes, and gets scared easily, she screams from her sleep sometimes and he has find it difficult to unravel wants really going on with her. After she had swooned a couple of times, the doctor informed him of her situation.

Few months passed, Anthony has finally settled down and he's doing well with the company. Anthony felt pity on her sometimes, at times he would feel like calling her attention but he just couldn't bring himself to that. He finds it hard to do that. He had given up on love a long time ago. He's not sure if this is sympathy or true love.
