Time goes on and on, Bridget remains as calm as she is always, Ruth never stops haunting her either, she has decided to take advantage of her gentle and calm attitude, she knew she wouldn't react no matter what she could do to her, she would shout at her, throw things at her. Anthony on the other side is fighting back, holding himself back. Well, I don't know how long he will be able that, he had witnessed her cries at night, pains and fret, he would watch her from his room sometimes, or peep through the door to her room.

Bridget endured everything, loneliness, solitude, pain and everything she had encountered since she stepped into the house. Anthony's mother refused her plea to allow her to work, I guess she wanted to be independent, she have come to realise that she will need someone to rely on herself.

Anthony pleads with Ruth to leave Bridget alone but she refused, she is not ready to stop any bit of what she's doing to her. Since the mother of the house had refused to caution her daughter, who else would she have listened to. He loses focus in everything he was doing, he becomes confused and frustrated at every instance, his close friend advices him over a drink one night to follow his heart, he should try and be friends with her and show her concern.

The next morning, following the night he had drink alcohol heavily out of frustration, he finds himself on Bridget's bed. What! What the hell happened? He had no idea and he had nobody to ask as he finds himself alone in the room. He had himself to be blamed, he was so frustrated that he indulge himself in the act of drinking alcohol even though he had never done that before.

He couldn't help himself now, he decided to summon courage to talk to Bridget about it, but Bridget refuses to talk to her, he remains in the dark. It's obvious he took advantage of her innocence unknowingly, he felt bad for what he did. Ever since then, Anthony started all his might to be good her if not for anything but to gain her trust and forgives him.

Weeks turns into months, Anthony buys Bridget even things she does not need, Bridget on the other hand is on the verge of accepting his kind heart. Ruth thought Bridget had something against Anthony, she had questioned Anthony several times but he refuses to tell her anything. She continued to vex on Bridget while Anthony isn't around.

A day turned everything around for Bridget, Ruth starts with her rants one evening, Anthony is yet to return from work, she keeps demanding reasons for his closeness with Anthony. Bridget who has nothing to say walks out on her. Ruth finds it hard to believe, she had remained calm up until this moment. Out of rage, Ruth drags her back with her hand, instead Bridget flips out of her hand and landed on the floor. Anthony arrives, as he rushes to help Bridget who had been screaming in pains. Anthony rushes her to the hospital. The doctor confirmed that she was pregnant but unfortunately she had lost the baby because she has lost to much blood before getting to the hospital.

Everything felt like a dream, it dawned on Anthony what he had done, how much he had done to offend Bridget, how much she had done to overcome her pain. All the same, Ruth refuses to believe his brother is responsible for her pregnancy. Even after they had returned home, Ruth couldn't contain her anger as she paces up and down the room. The mother on the other is left in total astonishment, she couldn't utter a word. Anthony raises his hand and slapped his sister. He wouldn't condone her dishonoring behavior any longer. He vows to leave the house for her and his mother if they wouldn't stop.

Bridget feel a little bit of excitement in her, even after all that had happened she finally finds someone who supports her for the first time ever since her parents had died. Well, it's now up to Ruth and her mother to accept their union or otherwise. It's so hard for both of them all these while. They finally had a reason to be together. Anthony pleaded with her for all the things she had encountered, for having neglected her even though they were married. He is ready to take responsibility for everything about her. He promises to make it up to her if she would give him a chance. It guess it's time for Bridget to finally be happy in her life.
