While waiting in line at the cash register in one of the malls, I heard that the boy two rows ahead of me couldn't afford what he bought. "You have to choose one of them," said the girl at the cash register. The boy looked at the chocolate in one hand and the cheap Coke, put the chocolate down, took the Coke and pressed it to his chest. The chocolate was maybe not even 50 cents. I never called. I went through the safe and caught the kid outside. I said, "Can you drink this coke so dry, come and get something with you?" I took her hand and we plunged into the mall again. I said you can have as much chocolate as you can fill your lap. He said, "Shall I put it in my little bosom in my lap?" - Good idea, I said, why not. Whatever he saw, he took two of the ones he thought of. We went to the register... I sat it on the conveyor belt... I asked the girl at the cash register to run the tape. He came all the way to the end of the tape, laughing, with a coke in his hand. He stood up, opened his stomach, and his chocolates fell on the counter. The girl laughed, the child laughed, the world laughed. Anyway, we paid the bill, bought a bag and put whatever we bought in it. When he got out, he looked at me with his neck thrown back. "I wish there were two glasses," she said. - What are you going to do, are we going to drink coke together, thank you, I said, I don't drink coke. - Come on now, I said right to your house. - No, not you. Two of everything but one coke. My sister said she was crying. We went to the market again. We got another coke. We laughed again. We were happy again... The boy ran home without looking back. In front of the market door, while I was looking behind her, the girl at the cash register came to me. -You don't know this kid, she said. - I said no. “Then why did you do such a thing?” she said. - Because I'm very rich, I said. - He said okay then. It doesn't touch you. “What do you do?” she said. - I said I'm buying children's smiles.. alchemist
