From the sayings of Jesus (peace be upon him): Do you think that if someone passed by his brother and saw that his garment had been exposed, was he uncovering it or responding to what had been exposed? They said: Rather, he responds to what has been revealed of it. He said: No, you will reveal it. So they knew that it was like hitting them, so they said: O Spirit of God, how is that? He said: That man among you looks at the private parts of his brother and does not cover it. In truth, I say to you: I teach you so that you learn, and I do not teach you that you marvel at yourselves, that you will not get what you want except by leaving what you desire, and you will not win what you hope for except by being patient with what you hate. Blessed is he who places his sight in his heart and does not place his sight in the sight of his eyes. Do not look at people's faults like lords, and look at their faults as the appearance of people's slaves.
