A leader wasn't born but made. Through experiences and as we mature we become leaders and true leaders make more leaders out of his/her followers. He maximize the potentials of his/her members. Moreover, they are the ones who bear their crowns as they fulfill their responsibilities; and the ones who embrace everyone within their authority.

Leading aims for unity

Every person is different from one and another. We come from different places, races, have different languages, gender identity, and so much more variations. Still, a leader transcend these differences and lead everyone to same vision.

Quality is greater than quantity

We need real leaders. Not those who put themselves as one but with selfish intentions. We need better leaders. We need leaders who have healthy perspective on what it means to lead. We need leaders who leverage their influence for a greater good.

Leaders make more leaders out of their own followers

They help their followers/members to maximized their individual potentials. Leaders aren't born but made out of oneself.

In a time of dehumanization, leaders value people

Leaders have an affinity and appreciation for the people they lead. Intentionally adding value to people makes people feel valued.

In a time of discouragement, leaders encourage people

Discouragement has become a native language for many, especially online. Leaders encourage people to something different-something positive.

In a time of apathy, leaders equip people

Encouragement alone is not enough to make a difference. They also need to be equipped to make a difference. Leaders take the time to train, coach, and mentor people to help bring out the talents and strengths of everyone.

In a time of cynicism, leaders inspire people

One of the most challenging things for a leader to do is balance reality with vision. Reality says, “This is where we’re at,” while vision says, “This is where we’re going to be.” It’s an abundance perspective that makes people hopeful.

In a time of powerlessness, leaders empower people

Of all the ways that leaders change lives for the better, nothing matches the gift of empowerment. Leaders take their power, combine it with their belief in the best of others, and give both away freely.

How to make difference through actions?

In order to bring out the best in others, you have to bring out the best in you.

Identify your passion

Making a difference usually requires you to go above and beyond expectations. To rise above expectations, you must have something that motivates you. Identify your passion. What is it that excites you?

Don't depend on other people to act

Most people are great, and many do wonderful things. But there are many people who do nothing. They complain and expect others to fix things. Don’t be that person.

Rethink risk

Making a difference often involves an issue greater than you alone. You are focused on making a difference in the life of others. That’s your opportunity.

You may be thinking, “There has to be a catch, right? If most people don’t act, there must be a reason. It must be risky.” Wrong. Inaction can be more risky than action.

Pursue respect, not likability

If you live your life making decisions based on what others think of you, you will not lead your own life. If you can’t lead your own life, you can’t make an impact on others. Leaders make decisions, and not all of them are well received. But they make decisions regardless because they believe it is the right thing to do.

Know what you want people to remember you by

Sometimes you need to be startled to act. The time is now to make a difference and lead. Don’t wait. And don’t wait for permission. You will be waiting a long time. Act now, and start creating the narrative that you want people to remember about you.
