Let's continue with our exploration of the anime this season. I'm still not sure what to watch but I've set my eyes to some of them. Maybe because some anime is not released yet. For instance, Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! Was set to air in August and Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi is expected on July 22. So choosing which anime you should watch this season is really hard. Especially that not all of them are worthy too.
In the meantime let's check these 4 Isekai and semi-Isekai anime. Maybe any of these 4 will be the anime you're looking for.
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S
Kyoto Animation is finally back after the arson attack. Their come back anime will be the second season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. We can finally see Miss Kobayashi and her troublesome dragon maid Tohru once again. So what can you expect from this anime?
KyoAni with its top-class animation is definitely what you should expect in this anime. It started with the usual routine of Tohru and Kobayashi as Tohru started working on a Maid Cafe. As expected it didn't work as it should be and end up quitting. And the main point of the story is the introduction of a new character. A dragon who loves chaos and destruction appears and her name was Ilulu. This is where the godly animation of KyoAni showcased as Tohru fights Ilulu to defend the city. And as the usual twists of the story. All of their enemies eventually become their allies. Ilulu wants to know why Tohru and other dragons are close to humans. She and Kobayashi talk about this and Ilulu made a strange spell while Kobayashi was asleep. I'm not sure what happened but my guess was Miss Kobayashi has turned into a male. This is the reason why these anime become so interesting. Even though some people cancelled this show because of Ilulu body proportion. Well, they do that once to Uzaki-chan and it's just unnecessary hate. This show is still great.
Seirei Gensouki
I can see great potential in this anime. This is an Isekai anime but with a Revenge type of story. It's interesting but I am against its harem genre. I don't know if it will become better soon but I think it's worth giving it a try. Let's just see.
Its story is all about a Young man named Haruto who died after reuniting with his childhood friend. He woke up as a boy living in a hovel who seeks revenge for his mother. This is an interesting part because he is not just a reborn or a body transferred to another world. But instead, his personality mixed with the boy. He got involved in kidnapping the princess and even after saving her using his knowledge in martial arts-infused with magic, he still was accused as the kidnapper by royal guards. Fortunately, the princess pledge for him and he has given his freedom. I like how the main character differs from most Isekai protagonists. He is a calm and serious type with principles. Maybe that's why I can not turn a blind eye to this anime. It reminds me of Code Geass. The death of his mother is still a mystery and what happened to his childhood friend from his past life is still unknown. There are so many questions yet to answer so maybe I'll give it a few more episodes and decide whether it's worthy or not.
D_Cide Traumerei the Animation
It's my Number 9 most anticipated so it may sound bias. But I think this anime receive unnecessary hate. I know lots of people hate CGI and I even think it's a bit of a Cliche especially every time he transforms. But this anime still has many reasons that you should consider.
Ryuuhei Oda was traumatised after he witnessed the mysterious death of his brother. His hobby is Kickboxing and one day he got bitten by a mysterious creature. When he was asleep, he had a dream of a strange world similar to video games and he saw people fighting against unknown monsters. I like how cool its animation was. It's flashy and smooth but the CGI is very noticeable. Ryuuhei thought it was just a dream but later it happened into real life. It reminds of Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale when they brought virtual reality game into the real world. This is where Ryuuhei got his power and because he loves kickboxing, he got similar powers. The CGI quality is not bad. I like it better than The Duke of Death and His Maid and it's better than Ajin. It's not that bad as people claims and I suggest to watch it and decide for yourself.
Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki
How a Realist Rebuilt the Kingdom is just another Isekai anime of this season. But not just generic Isekai. It's not all about fighting and brawl using magic and stuff but it's all about political wars. The main character is not your typical overpowered Isekai MC so rest assured.
Kazuya Souma (a typical Isekai MC name) was summoned into another world. The reason why they summoned him is to send him to another kingdom as an aide. But because he didn't like the fact of him being sent to another kingdom and his safety is not secured, he proposed to be a realist hero and help rebuild the kingdom. The current king agreed and to his surprise, the throne has been passed to him. How he holds the responsibility of rebuilding the kingdom and his marriage was set to the princess. How can be this man changes everything and prevent the war that may happen? It's all good and smooth but I don't like how Souma manage the kingdom even though in his past life, he doesn't look capable of that Job. Well, at least the princess is a beauty and I'm okay with that.
I'm a little bit confused why the schedule of this season is broken. Jahy-Sama and Idaten Deities are my top anticipated and knowing their release date is a little bit hard to keep your excitement.
