THROWBACK JAPAN LIFE I saw this picture in my phone gallery. And I remember the first time I celebrated Christmas eve alone. I used to work in Japan 10-12 hours a day. I usually got home 10 pm during Christmas season. Once upon a time, December 24th, Christmas eve, I finished my work at 8 pm, I hurriedly ran to catch the scheduled train and bus so I can reach home so I can take rest. When I got out of the bus, there's a convenience store in front of that bus station which is 200 meters away from my apartment. I bought this foods in that store, and went home. I reached home almost 10 pm. I unpacked the food, reheated it. Yes, this was my Christmas eve dinner. It was my first time eating alone on Christmas eve. It was my first time, and the last time. My husband was here in the Philippines. I realized then how hard it is for other Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) to celebrate without their families. Yes, I cried. I was alone. I was lonely. And maybe that's one of the reason I am always excited to celebrate Christmas again with my family. CHERISH EVERY MOMENT WITH YOUR FAMILY. GOODEVENING! ♡rose♡
